🥀✨If Mother’s Day hadn’t been the easiest for you…

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day, loves!

👉🏼 If this is not an easy day for you, this post was written specially for you!

Mother’s Day hadn’t been a fun or happy one for me either.

And this year specially was supposed to be an *extra* hard one.

Ya see…. Today’s date is not only Mother’s Day {as you know} but also my mom’s Bday fall on May 8th.♥️

Once in a while it happens that both end up in that same Sunday and 2022 is one of those years.

This was always a struggle to me – the whole May month actually! – not only Mother’s Day happening this month and her birthday PLUS….. her day of passing – May 20th.

It was a lot!

Yet in 2018 I decided on something. 🔥

I just couldn’t make myself struggle with it anymore.

And out of this deep need of **not** wanting this entire May month to be hard for me, I decided it was time to flip the script.

The idea that events/situations are neutral and WE give meaning to it – ‘good’ or ‘bad’ is powerful and gives us the option to choose a different meaning, a different ending.

It’s on us to assign the meaning and behave based on that meaning.

{as a result writing a new story from then on!}

I knew that intellectually already so it was time to put it to practice. And I meant it! 💪🏼

So off I went with my extravagant experiment – a whole trip to Italy! 🇮🇹🍷🍝⛲️🏰

And in 2019 in a full circle moment, right on her Birthday – May 8th – I wrote a blog post about it.

Now with 16 yrs of her passing {AND today being her Bday 🥰} I can happily share that the doom, dread and heavy cloud that used to hang above my head throughout this time are way past behind me. 🍃

On that blog post I am sharing all my findings on how things truly get to be easier when we perceive them as easier — even when it relates to overcoming the loss of a loved one.

✨You can read it all in this link right here✨

❤️ Sending extra tight hugs to those of you that wanted but never got to be a mother, those of you that had lost your mother, had to be your own mother and/or never had a good relationship with your mother. Wishing you a beautiful and easy day. 🌹

Many Smooches,
