How are you feeling on this fine last week of October heading to the last 2 months of the year?

Over here something really interesting happened a week ago.

My Instagram account — GONE!

Deleted. Just like that. Poof!

And not at all by choice.

My darling sweet, trusty and favorite social media account  since 2012 – almost 10 yrs! –  completely gone like that.

Vanished.

Why you ask?

I don’t know.

As per my usual daily rounds on the internet I tried to log in and nothing.

Logged in with my other IG account {the RaineWebsites one.} and this sadness is what I found:

Now here is the interesting thing…..

This account has been with me for almost 10 years. Pretty much my whole online life since almost the beginning of LTF was recorded there – the day to day, the behind the scenes. Those were the main focus of my Instagram account. Some pretty close to my heart posts were in there. Some very useful and informative posts saved too. As well as some freaking amazing new {to me} content creators found and social justice influencers discovered.

That account was dear to my heart, reflecting my past 10 years so closely and in all the ways possible.

And so you’d think I would go nuts for loosing it and not being able to access any of the content anymore, ya?

Yes and no.

Ya see love, right when I discovered the issue {I am not going to lie} I went down on a rabbit hole thinking of all the goodness lost. All the things I wouldn’t be able to recover or ever see again.

For a few hrs I was swimming on those feelings.

And after that?

The shift.

That calmness and excitement that came in when I started thinking of the new ahead.

Thinking about the blank canvas, the fresh new start. All the possibilities, all the directions to take it to. All the weight and commitment to things that didn’t matter anymore lifted just like that.

Because truth be told:

• All the pics? I have them on my gadgets.
• All the colorful and engaging stories I have been pouring so much creativity on? All on my phone, ready to be republished at any time {if you were following along in my Stories, you know I upleveled my game big time over there 😉 }
• All the posts and copy I wrote? I have them right here on my blog. Because the fullest complete version always was written here first, before making it to IG.
• All the amazing new people I found? They are still out there. I can easily trace everyone back.

And now that newness, that shedding old layers, the openness of new directions and possibilities? All ALSO there, easily grasped on a brand new canvas {reads – account!}

This is not to say that we can only have new possibilities and new directions coming our way by only drastically releasing the old. Not even close! We can have both.

But when something is out of our control, when that something or someone just decided on their own that it is time to part, hanging on to them will just delay the inevitable:

Change.

Because change is inevitable. And moving forward can be great. If we let it!

The more we resist, the more painful the process is. Change is the only certain thing we have and embracing it with gusto is liberating, empowering and eye-opening!

👉🏼 Now  love, tell me! What is going on your life right now, begging to be changed that you can actually take the lead on it? Because truly we don’t need to wait for change to happen TO us specially when we clearly see that the transformation is on the way. We can stop resisting it and own it! And go for it like we mean it!

The last few drops of the year are the perfect background to start shedding those layers and truly open room for the new sparkles ahead!

Peel them off love! Let the shine come through!

My brand NEW Instagram account is already up and I can’t lie — I am freaking excited with the blank canvas and creating anew!
